Biography
I am a novelist, playwright, documentary writer, and screenwriter. I am the author of the novel The Serpent’s Veil (Thistledown Press, 2009). In addition to winning Grain Magazine’s Dramatic Monologue contest (2002), I have been published in numerous magazines, newspapers, and journals. I have written scripts for a number of television documentaries that have been broadcast on CTVglovemedia, A-Channel, APTN, SNC, CLT, the Knowledge Network, and Book Television, one which was nominated for a Leo award.
My play Highway was the Special Merit Winner in TheatreBC’s 2020 Canadian playwriting competition and was nominated for a Tom Hendry Drama award 2022. I was a member of the Belfry Theatre’s Incubator Project, Creator’s Circle in 2022 and am currently a mentee of David Paul Kirkpatrick, formally of Paramount Pictures, currently with Story Summit, on my screenplay The Witch Pricker.
