Kate Jaimet is a Canadian writer whose body of work includes plays, young adult novels, and short- and long-form non-fiction. A journalist by trade, she covered daily news for the Ottawa Citizen for thirteen years before stepping into her current position as features editor at Canada's History magazine. Her short plays "Workplace Wellness" and "The Office of Threats to Western Civilization" have been performed at festivals in Canada, the United States, Australia, New Zealand, Dubai, and the Philippines. Her full-length farce "Mixed Doubles" enjoyed its professional premiere in Ottawa in October 2022. An aficionado of twisted plots and snappy one-liners, she believes in the power of comedy bring people together to laugh at ourselves.
