Biography
Cheryl McNamara is a Toronto-based writer. Her play for young audiences, Water Wonder, about our deep connection to nature, was part of Carousel Players’ 2019/2020 touring season. Two other plays, The Dick’s a Dame (co-written with Jane Moffat) and The Dizzy & Dale Chronicles performed at the Toronto Fringe Festival with the former performing a second run at the Tim Sims Playhouse. Her short story, The Lantern Path is published in Hypertext Magazine. Cheryl founded the Toronto chapter of the Citizens’ Climate Lobby and is a human rights and ecological justice activist.
