Biography
Brian is an actor, playwright, and folk musician. He arrived in Winnipeg in 1970 after performing in Children’s’ Theatre in Montreal and Halifax. Writing encompasses short stories and poetry on CBC Radio; Music hall on CKY-TV; drama; comedy sketches; Music Hall and Vaudeville plays; interdisciplinary works; plays interpreting history for National Historic sites and the Manitoba Museum; audio-visual scripts for Parks Canada; poetry for publication, radio, and stage.
Richardson has received the Victor Cowie Award from ACTRA Manitoba for Outstanding Contribution to the Performing Arts in Winnipeg, and an Evie award for Career Contribution from the Winnipeg Theatre Awards committee.
